Edition one:
“A weekly regulatory column on LinkedIn — personal, opinionated, and occasionally sarcastic.” by Marie Salin
Known for beeing bold, direct and realistic,
I am convinced that we need more direct speech and less social media full of AI-curated perfection, even if I am a fan of AI tools.
We need a regulatory speech free of “ideal world-presentation” and down to earth!
Back to the real world!
Back to the daily life of the one working in the DOING of the regulatory field!
This is what you will get in this new bi-weekly column about MDR, IVDR, ISO 13485, ISO 15189 compliance and regulatory intelligence
⟶ Follow if regulation is part of your job, even if you pretend it isn’t
The start:
My mother reminded me last weekend of something I was “bathed” in in my childhood.
The beauty of the language of the traditional authors from previous centuries.
No AI,
No real standardization,
But a uniqueness that still fascinates me.
This is where i want to go with this column!
Digging into my favorite author’s works, I found this quote which covers exactly the direction of this column
“An original writer is not one who imitates nobody, but one whom nobody can imitate.”
― François-René de Chateaubriand,
The Genius of Christianity or the Spirit and Beauty of the Christian Religion 1802
The question(s):
Why choose to start a column?
Why spend time writing a post among 1,000 others on LinkedIn?
Why try to give a new perspective on regulatory intelligence?
The answer:
Let’s be honest:
Everyone talks about MDR, IVDR, ISO 13485, ISO 15189 compliance and regulatory intelligence
Very few talk about what it actually looks like in the real (hard) life.
This is the start of my new weekly column where I’ll share:
▪ regulatory reality (not fairy tales)
▪ "why this keeps failing" moments
▪ practical know-how from the field
▪ and the occasional regulatory sarcasm
No legal advice.
No marketing fluff.
Just experience, opinion, and lessons learned the hard way.
Welcome to The Regulatory Column Nobody Asked For (but Everyone Needs)
See you in 2 weeks with real regulatory topics and thoughts!
